April 11, 2014

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, registration starts at 8:30 am

Cost: $25 per person

Location: 6555 Powerline Road, Suite 210  Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309

Event description: Most current treatment approaches frame psychotic experiences as non-understandable, address them only with medication, and then ask clients to resign themselves to living with the symptoms medication alone does not control. Participants who complete this workshop will be able to identify their client’s psychotic experiences versus “sane” experiences; understand the continuum of human experiences;  identify the connections between psychotic experiences and more conventional ones; expand their knowledge of  cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of trauma and psychosis as an evidence-based approach; and explore options for their clients so they are no longer forced to rely entirely on medications for symptom reduction and learn how to provide effective therapy to trauma survivors who also have psychotic symptoms through integrating cognitive behavioral therapy.

Includes 3 CEU’s and refreshments for attendees. Seating is limited, maximum capacity is 50.
